Dr. Hidayatullah is a palliative care physician working in this region for 20 years. He is trained as an anesthesiologist and joined King Faisal specialist hospital in Riyadh in 1994 as a pain specialist. Later he moved to Palliative care took American boards in Hospice Palliative Medicine in 2004. He is passionate about advocacy and education of Palliative care in this region and invited as speaker in many regional and international conferences. He is responsible for starting the first Palliative care program of UAE at Tawam Hospital in 2007. Currently he is Associate Consultant in Palliative Medicine at King Faisal Specialist Hospital Riyadh
Dr. Zalenski is Professor of Emergency Medicine in Wayne State University School of Medicine, Director of Palliative Care, and on the Editorial board of the Annals of Emergency Medicine. He currently heads a randomized trial of early Palliative Care started in the Emergency Department. Over his career, he had authored over 100 publications and has been cited over 3000 times. Dr. Zalenski has been published in prestigious journals, such as the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, the Annals of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Zalenski ‘s passions are advocating for outstanding care during the last chapter of life, and preventing frailty in the elderly. He is committed to human development across the lifespan, and argues in his most recent publication in the Journal of Palliative Medicine, that the Final Stage of Life presents unique opportunities for fulfillment. He is currently pursuing his passion for preventative medicine, to allow more people to experience their last years in the best health possible.
